GM Management Shake Out Begins!

I know a few you would rather I not bring up GM again but I couldn't help myself (I just can't bring myself to talk about such matters as the color of cars or how to park to avoid door dings, I guess).

DETROIT (Reuters) - General Motors Co GM.UL Chief Financial Officer Ray Young is expected to leave the automaker as part of a shake-up of its finance operations, the Detroit News reported on Wednesday.
The newspaper cited unnamed sources familiar with the situation and said Young, 47, could leave the company in the coming weeks.
The newspaper said GM had already hired an executive search firm to find Young's replacement.
Young and GM representatives could not be immediately reached for comment.
The report of Young's departure comes during a two-day meeting of GM's 13-member board in Detroit.
The board, headed by former ATamp;T Inc (T.N) Chief Executive Ed Whitacre, is also expected to weigh a decision on what to do with GM's money-losing European unit Opel.

I'd rather see them getting rid of the people who were responsible for all the awful design decisions.

I think this is just the start.  I don't wish any individual at GM ill and I hear that Ray Young is a good person.  But I think this move relates primarily to the lack of accountability at GM.  In order to hold management accountable you need to measure their results.  I think GM's finance staff just was not doing that.

Hey, if all else is not working, try a 60-day, money back guarantee
