Moving to SC from Buffalo NY.

So it looks like Im going to be moving to Horry County late July early August, GF got a job teaching there.  Just wondering if there is any SC automotive forums and/or SC Miata forums.  Thanks for any help.

Not sure of any forums, but there are a few clubs near that area. You may want to check with Cape Fear Miatas out of Wilmington NC or Low Country Miatas out of Charleston SC. You would be kind of in the middle if I'm not mistaken. Good Luck and welcome to SC

Google maps say Ill be 3 hours from Cape Fear and two house from Charleston.  Depending on where exactly we end up living at.

Well, at least you'll be right in the middle of the action next spring for Miatas at Myrtle Beach IV.  Welcome to the Carolinas!  You'll love our weather.  Many top-down days all year long.  

I am so sick of snow you would not believe it.  What is a typical winter like?  What kind of average temps do you see?

A few people are trying to setup a Horry County (Myrtle Beach) club right now.

You are gonna love the winters.....hate the summers....(unless you are used to heat and high humidity).
I would say typical winter is.... highs in the 30s to 40s.....with maybe a couple of weeks in the 20s and 30s.....lows typically probably stay in the 20s.....ocassionally in the teens, but not to often.  Winters down here are usually mild.

We sometimes get roses blooming at Christmas and cold rain at Miatas@MyrtleBeach-II

Suffice it to say, it's nothing like Buffalo.
