Electric Exhaust Cut out on BG Midpipe

Connects to a Brian Goodwin midpipe after the quot;!Catquot;

To do what? Side exhaust? Those are usually used for dumps on drag cars, can't really see much use on a I4 w/ 4-into-1 exhaust.

Could someone plz explain 1) what this product is 2) what it does?

On a Miata the power increase, if any, probably wouldn't offset the added weight of the Cut Out!  

agree, its a sound feature.  
you could take off the rear section (res) on the GWR Midpipe. (as its two pieces)
and test the sound out before you buy one.
