Atlanta-Based Miata Owners.....
Are there any local clubs that I can get plugged into for club events, cruise-ins, car shows, track-days, etc.?
There doesn't seem to be much going on in the miata community around here....or am I just not looking in the right places?
Thanks.
Joe
You're not looking...
Peachtree Miata, R-Speed, Maz-Mart.... All in the ATL and can point you to LOTS of Miata happenings. There's another Miata club in Chatanooga a short distance from there.
Try clicking on the clubs link at the bottom of the page.

Interesting....I was at R Speed yesterday asking about clubs, events, etc. in the Atl. area. I was told that quot;not many people get out and do anything any more...it's kind of deadquot;. The shop is only open on weekdays and closes at 4:00. Not open on weekends at all. I'm kind of baffled....
I checked out Peachtrees site and it looks like they may do a track event once a year and some cruises occassionally. Promising....
I'll check out Maz-Mart as well.....
Thanks guys.

One small club in a city of millions.... I see a dozen miatas a day driving to work (most modified). I must be missing it still...
I'll keep looking...

mx5atlanta if you are into performance upgrades and driving.
Peachtree miata if you are into drinking coffee and quot;Antiquingquot;
Peachtree Miata does have some drives and meeting listed on their calendar. Try both out.
But if you really like getting out and driving, check out the club in Chattanooga, TN; CAMS in Birmingham/Montgomery, Rocket City Miata in Huntsville; Music City Miata in Nashville and I'm sure there are a couple others within a short drive of ATL. There's another club near the Gap but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head.
We've done multiple club gatherings when I was in Huntsville... and I'm sure any of those clubs would be more than happy to have you tag along on a drive out or two.
If you're into autocrossing then check out TAC (Twickingham Auto Club) in Huntsville, Alabama. I spent some time with them and it's a great bunch of people.
To be honest, the people and Miata clubs I dealt with while in Huntsville is the one thing I miss from being up there. Well that and the roads.
last night. They are having a VERY COOL meet tomorrow at DIY Autotune in Suwannee. The shop will be building a DIYMSPNP tomorrow and installing it on a 97 and showing the group how to do it. Then it will get strapped to the dyno and tuned with tuning instruction provided.
What a cool idea.
Im looking forward to going and meeting fellow miatae and checking out the rides.
