Damn, i missed my miata!

Ok, so I've had her parked for about a month.  Between business trips and vacations and the rain in South FLA, I really had not driven her in a month.  But today, while picking up pizza and some soda, I decided to take her for a spin.  She started up on the first turn of the key, she was a little hesitant at first to run evenly, but once the temp built up she was running like I remembered my girl run in the past.  She is going to be parked once again for suspension upgrades and maybe new wheels and tires, but man I know remember why I bought her and why she is in my driveway.
Sorry, just thought I would share the reasons I own, drive and work on a Miata.
Sincerely,
FLA-MIATA (Leo)

Nothing wrong with sharing that here on this forum! We absolutely KNOW what you mean bro!

Thanks mdr8ball.  I'm serious I parked her cause the suspension was really iffy at highway speeds (Not local street driving under 40mph).  Also, it's rainy season in South Florida and it is bad here.
But hey, I appreciate the support.

I took mine out about a month ago, mainly ride my honda scooter 250 because I like getting 65 mpg..anyway I rode to the store 3 blocks away and the battery died,,2 guys pushed me off and I rode home and parked it...well the other day I knew the alternator belt was slipping so I bent down to see what size the pivot bolt was and the whole alternator belt tension piece was laying there on the ground where it stopped,,had to go and steal a bolt off my other miata,,got it all back together, charged up the battery and rode about 10 miles and darn if it didnt loosen up again...bought some locktight blue to put on all the bolts,,just havent gotten around to it yet...also have my volvo...Rog

Hey Leo.  I understand just what you're saying!
Mine's an ugly duckling project car that's finally getting near done, but every time I take it out of the garage I have a blast!  Of course I have no top at the moment, so it is only out on quot;top downquot; days/nights for a plus to the fun.
Anyway, wanted to invite you to come on up to Jensen Beach (tentatively) on Thanksgiving weekend, 2 months for you to fix the suspension!, we are in the planning stage of kicking off our local club with a cookout/meet!

Hope we get to see you!  Later, John

John, I will look into and try to make it up there.  Funny thing John, when it's winter time, everyone up north is parking their Miata's and storing them for the winter.  When it's winter time in South Florida or Florida, that's when we put the tops down and drive these cars with the biggest smiles.  I don't even put the top up at work or lock the doors or anything.  I anxiously waiting for the rains to stop in order to drive my baby to it's fullest potential.
Thanks for the invite John.

I am currently not able to drive my Miata because I sprained my ankle playing volleyball last week.  The main thing that bums me out is that this is ideal Miata weather here in central Illinois...but I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel!!

Mine has been sitting waaaay too much recently- especially with the beautiful early fall weather here in VA.
