No, typically piercings are not magnetic. And if they are, get new ones.
Also, contrary to popular belief, piercings do NOT set off metal detectors.
I'll tell you this though. I've had 10 piercings. Labret, tongue, ears, nape (back of neck), madison (front of neck)(twice), both nipples (vertical barbells), and guiche.
Piercings hurt. Despite what people tell you. The thing is that typically, it only really hurts WHEN you're getting them pierced. But it's a manageable pain. Nothing anyone can't handle, (especially since I know you've already got tats).
Ears, didn't hurt at all.
Labrett (lower lip) didn't hurt to bad at all.
Madison, both of them were very easy, but grew out leaving scars.
Nape hurt alot, but like I said, when the piercing was done, didn't hurt at all. I actually think this was the least painful one during the healing process, but like the madisons, it grew out and left a scar. I will get it redone sometime.
Tongue wasn't very painfull, but the pain lasted for about a week.
Guiche hurt quite a bit, but wasn't too bad while healing.
Nipples were BY FAR the very very most painfull ones, but the pain subsides fairly quickly. However, I must say that when I got them done, the original plan was to get barbells going vertically, and then go back later and do horizontal barbells (or maybe captive-bead hoops). Typically, what they do is have the vertical piercings pass behind the horizontal ones, so they have to put the vertical ones deeper. That being said, I don't think horizontal nipple piercing would be all that bad, but in my experience with the verticals, there was ALOT more flesh to go through. Another thing to keep in mind if you want to get both of them done: You kinda have to psyche yourself up to get them done in the first-place, but after they do the first one, you have to re-psyche yourself pretty quick because then they gotta do the other one. It took me about 20 minutes to talk myself into getting the second one done. After the first one, I had sworn off piercings all-together.
Ah well... just do it you fucking wuss.

I can handle it...bring on the needles
Navel doesn't hurt either. I have heard from a few different people that nipples are very painful to have done.

It all depends on pain thresholds. Some people have a very high tolerance to pain.
You just feel warm when they're done. Not really pain, its weird, oh, get a cute girl to do em.... preferably one who will play with em straight after.... (You'd know if you'd done it why Im saying this)

ci5ic whats the piercing on the eyebrow called?
My boyfriend has one of his nipples done. He said when they were doing it it didnt hurt, but after it was pretty sore. Also when its cold outside the ring bothers him a little.
He wants me to get mine done but there is no way in hell I'm sticking anything sharp near mine...

From what I understand, despite the fact that female nipples are more sensitive, it doesn't hurt as much as it does men... This is what the girl that did mine told me anyways.
And raysoh8, I believe that the piercing of the eyebrow is called an eyebrow piercing... I've never heard it called anything else. |
