mazdaspeed mx5 into a 2000 mx5

would it be possible to swap ms mx5 engine or turbo into a 2000 or 2002 mx5? would it be cheaper than just turbo charging a regular mx5 and be reliable? and does ms mx5 have better internals than a regular mx5? thank you, I'm just looking to make cheap reliable hp and instead of buying a ms mx5 I'm thinking about swapping in the ms mx5 motor or take the turbo and put into the mx5, any input or insight would be greatly appreciated.
