First big downer week for the 3...


My shiftings been kinda notchy, could be the cold weather. I changed my fluid about 3k ago, BUT its been slightly leaking. Nothing on the ground just around the drain plug. I suspect that perhaps someone (not myself) used the fill plug as the drain plug for the manual transmission. I heard they are slightly different. So while I'm underneath it, I notice that theres some oil residue from the motor oil drain plug... the plug is about 5 turns loose, so I'm freaked out, and I tighten it up, and the plastic (I opted for the plastic washer not the copper washer that came with my BavAuto kit) washer is broken, its like... half ripped off, and I cant get it out without actually pulling the plug out, eg. changing the oil again which I did about 1k miles ago.  Then my drivers rear light, according to my display, is out, but its def. not, and my blinkers double speeding, but everythings operational.
THEN, the same night that all these issues were in the back of my mind... I spin out on the on-ramp to a highway and do some SERIOUS off roading. I broke loose accelerating into a mild corner doing about 40 in slick conditions, managed to correct it, but just baaaarely oversteered it enough to break loose oposite, then I just said f-it and locked up and braced for impact.  I somehow managed to hop a curb sideways and not blowout my tires or even ding a rim... so thats a good thing. I just drove home and refused to even look at it till the next morning, so far so good though. Theres still a lot of grass all over the exterior.
It just sucks, I treat this car like a baby, do all the right things, and then it all just goes to **** either way.

Its ok, things cant get worse, at least your ok from your incident.
