99 head on 94 bottom end

When mounting a 99 head on a 94 block, can you use the 94 intake brace or do you need a 99 brace?
If you need the 99 brace, is it a straight bolt-on?

The 94 brace will fit.  Straight bolt on.

I left my '94 brace on the block, but it does not come close to bolting to the manifold. I left it unbolted.  Someone will chime in and tell me its a terrible idea, and I'm lazy, and my manifold is going to snap off because of it.
No issues yet, and it's my Miata anyways.

Fooger, I am surprised that your one didn't fit as the 94 and 99 support are the same.  Having said that, I know that a lot of people on the forum have removed them without suffering any consequences.
