i was wondering where could someone get a gt2560 either cheap or used for a diy project on a budget?
Craigslist, If you're looking for a non garret unit, feel free to shop on ebay, but that turbo is known as the T28 on a Silvia and you can literally bolt one right up to any of the T-25/28 series manifolds that our forum sponsors offer.
You will need the turbo, manifold, and downpipe to all match up to each other before you go any further with hardware. The first step is to get engine management working on a stock car first so you know how it runs.
If you need a DIY project, I would contact either FM or Bell and try to source as many things as you can from them because it was a headache figuring out all the fittings and lines on my own. |
