Calgary Members!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

How many calgary members do we have on here? Do we cowtown folks ever have any meets? Would be nice to hear from some people.
Jamie

  Hello.
I am a fellow Calgarian.
Check out beyond.ca and go into the small BMW section, we do meet up, chat about cars, hang out etc.
Me and a guy are going to wednesdays beyond meet, 7:30 onwards ish.
Im on there as goblin

Hi guys. I think there's about half a dozen Calgarians that actively post on this board. Just checked out beyond.ca - I didn't even know it existed. Did you guys go to bimmerfest?

I didnt because I got my car in August!

what's there to do in calgary??  I'm heading over for a work conference for a weekend soon (more like jailed up at the Marriott).......I've only been to that big newer mall (i dun remember what it's called, it's affiliated with a casino name i think), Boston Chophouse, Cowboys (? or some other club), and shopping downtown........any other recommendations anyone?  what's the weather like there already?

I'm not sure which mall you are talking about but the two biggest ones are Chinook Centre and Market Mall. That would be the Chicago Chophouse. I could give you recommendations but you need to be more specific. Sights? Fast food? Fine dining? Culture? Shopping? Auto parts?

I didn't go to bimmerfest, as I had exams that day.
Calgary is a nice place, had some really nice weather last few days, but its turning cold tommorow. nice i mean by 19 degrees.
Cowboys is a good place to party, Tequila too. Im more of a fan of bars tho. I get shy talking to women so I guess thats why. If im a friend, im outgoing.

If you're here on a Saturday, goto Coyotes. Chicago Chophouse is good, along with a lot of places downtown. For shopping hit 17th ave. Stay away from the malls as you have malls in Van City so same old. Melrose on 17th is also a fun place on weekends. Try all of the above!

I need recommendations on good restaurants for dinner!......within walking distance downtown.....Thanks

I'm assuming you'll be expensing your dinners so you might as well go higher end
Restaurants to try:
Verve - 102 10st NW and 237 8th Ave SE.
Divino - 113 8th Ave SW.
Teatro - 200 8th Ave SW (don't know when you are in town but it's closed for reno until Nov 22)
Sushi Hiro - 725 5th Ave SW.
Bonterra - 1016 8th St. SW.
River Cafe - Prince's Island (ask a local for directions)

Hey Bob, I remember your car. I didn't have my DPE's or DDE's in time for the fest so my ride looked pretty plain back then. I'm still dreading the day I see another set of DPE's on the road - so far I think I'm the only one in Cowtown.
Love the CH's on your car - they were high on the list when I was shopping for wheels.

Hey bobo any word on the used coilovers?
See, we have some pretty nice rides in cow town!

No   He parked his car for the winter, and I'm hoping he decides on his coilover's so that I can refer him to you
I was thinking of DPE's...but not worth it yet, I need my ///M first before i get DPE's!!!

Do a search on "DPE*" and you will get over 500 hits.
[Edit] I see you are from Airdrie. I guess we can forgive you.   J/K
