led "flame style exhaust, paid for by my sponsor, pepboys

oh and my father paid for my car in cash, minus 5k from me, flame if you must but i enjoy every second of it
also my 540i was a hand me down from my father
thanks dad

cash is the only way to go

word, my 330, 01 m3, and 03 m3 were all paid in cash
but I may sell the m3 and finance an 02 we have. Free up some cash for other purposes

I paid cash..it just doesn't feel like I "own" the car without having the title in my hands..

Not cool.   Some of us work hard for a living. If I took your post out of context, i apoligize, however, it came across as kinda foul.

actually, the smart thing is to lease your $40K car and invest most of that $40K, instead of putting that $40K cash in something that doesn't appreciate.  the lease payments generally cover the depreciation of the vehicle, plus the return you are getting from your investment will offset part of that depreciation.  furthermore, with leasing you only pay tax for the "portion" of the car you use instead of on the whole car itself.  basically, after a 3 year lease on a $40K car, you will pay tax on maybe $15K-$17K instead of the whole $40K.  just something to think about...

me and my dad paid cash... i kind of wish i leased my car tho... no hassle trying to resell it or trade it in etc...   And what EDawg said also makes a lot of sense... cars are not a very good investment...
my dad wanted to lease a 500SEL when he first came to the U.S... it was impossible to do so because he had no existing credit history  ... i remember when me and him came back the next day with a suitcase
Bought 3 other cars from that dealership since then (one leased) and they love us there.  I guess the moral of the story is that it doesnt matter how you pay for your car, as long as you can pay for it at all...

I paid cash ... but i bought a used one, cant afford a new one ... yet ... but its mine and i paid for it myself and i love it
