first off 3 days ago i raced a rsx type-s in my 95 civ hb w/b18c1 with alot of bolt ons(no head work done yet) and we raced from 40 to about 65. not to impressed. i one by a good 2 cars and then jumped on the freeway going way slow like 10mph with him behind me and floored it and by the time i merged into a lane i was going 90 and had one by 3 cars. and wanted to downshift again at like 65 but way to much traffic the end.
anyway last night some friends and i took out his pontiac trans am formula auto.w/ the corvette lt1 engine) to washington bullavard and kicked some ass!
first kill was a volkswagon golf w/8psi boost and he of course launch on us but once we hit about 15mph we passed him right up.
2nd kill was a stock s2000 and downshifted with it from 20 to about 65. plenty of time to prove our point. and then we raced 2 other cars at the same time they were both manuel 2000 camaro ss w/alot of mods he was naming off. and camaro z28 and beat them by 1 car.(pretty close race)
and then the last race at the vard was against a 91 eclipse gsx w/ 15psi
and it always launched on us hella hard! that by the time we were starting to cetch up we were going way to fast. so at the next light we told him we were leaving, and that he should come jump on the freeway with us. so he followed us to the freeway and downshifted at 70 and killed it. there was no one on the freeway so we decided to race from a dead stop. he launched on us once again and got a good 10 foot lead and we passed him at 65 and by the time we were at 80 we had beat him by 4 cars. not one loss the hole night. the only thing he's lost to so far is a 2002 corvette zo6 a saleen mustang and a 911 carrera.
oh ya and we also beat a stock mustang cobra.
hasnt lost to an import yet! so i better get my nitrous hooked up so i can be the first civic to crush him!

My question as well, because in print, that doesn't add up...
The only reason I say this is because in a race between me, three LT1 F-bodies (a Z28 and two formulas) and a 3rd Gen supercharged 350, I beat them all at once...
My experience says not possible, but of course, you didn't list mods, if any, his LT1 has...
I have a friend with a 94 Z28 LT-1 6-speed all he has is a Fiberglass Hodd and Flowmaster Cat-Back and I have seen him beat many a LS-1. Him being the big Chevy fan he doesn't know why he is able to do this on a consistent basis. But I have seen him do it many times.

Well, that would have the potential of doing it. For further reference, the LT1 in the F-body, while being similar and derived from a Corvette LT1, is not the same as a Corvette LT1.
Racing is good.
GTStang, would these happen to be early LS1 F-bodies, i.e. 98-00? 01-02 pull harder than their earlier siblings, and put out better numbers...
which brings me to my next point: this has absolutely nothing to do with honda/acura, imports, me being awesome, or hot bitches. if i was a moderater id damn you all to hell. but im not so post on...
i dont know alot about camaros..but i do know i have watched one get stomped...a camaro ss with a vortech supercharger....got beaten by a 96-00(dont know exact year) civic with a built gsr pushin like 20lbs of boost on a t-4.....so camros definitly can lose a race.....

i personally get extremely pissed off when someone generalizes and says no camaro will ever be beaten. or integras are fuckin fast. or even shit like imports are better than domestics. i dont care if thats your opinion or not, its a stupid one. ANY car can be and will be beaten. period.
as for beating camaros (not v6's either) i live in central ohio and i see plenty of them go down frequently. even z28's by some imports. they are badass cars but they are not immortal. if they were everyone on the road would drive a camaro and wed all be happy until about 90,000 miles when the cheap american transmission dropped out of it.
