does anyone know where i can buy a shark injector for 2004+ 3-series models? i kno 1badzhp has one, but he forgot where he bought it (andy try to remember! lol), can anyone help me out? members? mods? sponsers?

I asked the same thing and they said there is no shark software for 04+ models. Some sort of encryption problem. However, someone on this forum said that tuner motorsport has software. But I asked that too and no one could confirm. I hope 1badzhp is telling the truth, because i am also interested in some software for my 3.46 differential.

Jim Conforti's software (Shark) works on cars up to, and including, Feb. 2004.
He's working on a version for models from March, 2004 forward.
Of course , mine was built in 3/04, so I'm waiting....
I always thought he had software available up to but not including March 03. At least I thought thats what I read on a few sites. Unless I read it wrong and could have ordered a Shark Injector for my 3/03 ZHP.
According to Turner Motorsports it's available through Feb 03. At UUC, ECIS, and one other place I forget it says through 04. So which is it?

to my knowledge no one has software for 2004 e46's. My build date is Oct of 03. If anyone knows any different Holla at ya boy !

Forget it guys....it's almost 2006 and there will never be any shark injector for us...just like we're stuck with the elephant ear side mirrors because we have the ribbon connectors and no one has adapters

ESS has had software for FI and NA tuning for MS42/43/45 for better than a year.

What do those numbers mean in relation to M52, M54 engine notation form bmw?
MS42 is cable throttle, such as the 323/328.
MS43 is the electronic drive by wire in the 5-speed 325/330.
MS45 is the electronic drive by wire in the 6-speed 2004+.
MS45 is a whole new processing platform using the M505 processor from Motorola. It is very fast and can process engine management in realtime. Hence the code is much different (it is not encrypted as many think).
I imagine the programming interface is different too requiring the DME to be sent in on MS45.
