Which of these brands have you never driven nor been a passenger in? Sitting in a stationary car doesn't count.
Jason
I intended to make the poll multiple choice. Can that be fixed?
Jason
This is gonna be a longish list...
Cadillac
Hummer
Lincoln
Mercury
Saturn
And out of that list, I'm only interested in experiencing Cadillac and Lincoln. Hummer and Saturn are cooked, and Mercury was never offered in Canada, I think.
For me, it's easier to list what I have experienced: Chevy, Buick, amp; Ford. Smokin makes a good point about Caddy.
Huh. Only Hummer.
Matt
Only Hummer for me, too. It's the only one on the list I specifically did NOT want to experience. There's nothing there I would be remotely interested in (not that I disparage those who do).

Buick, Chrysler, Dodge, and Mercury are the only ones I HAVE experienced. The only one that seemed the most trouble free was my FILs Mercury Marquis.
This is gonna be a longish list...
Less than half of them is a long list?
How about all but one?
I may have once been a passenger in a 1970's Chev Comaro for 10 or 15 minutes in the mid/late 80's?
I've driven two or three Ford cars and vans, but they are all Ford Australia or Ford Europe models, none from the USA branch.
Apart from that, none at all.
Hummer.
BB.
Never been in any except Ford and Jeep...
When I was younger, I had a job at an Airport parking lot at Port Columbus. Customers would pull in and drive us to the terminal, we would take down all of thier info while on the drive. When we would get to there, we would jump out, help them with thier bags and then drive thier car back to the lot and park it. I would guess the round trip was about 5-6 miles. Was the most fun job I've ever had. Some of you might know that Wexner has his main headquarters in Columbus for most of his retail stores and they had an account with us. I got to drive just about everything on the road when I was there, from Hondas, to Porsche, and everything in between. We would keep track of who drove the lowest mileage cars. I had a new 3 series (1993) that came in with just under 20 miles on the clock. Haven't been in alot since then, but at the time, I got behind the wheel of just about anything you could think of.
Only Hummer for me..I've owned or known someone with all the others.
I've driven at least one model out of every one of these. I've owned a few Buicks, Chevrolets, Fords, and Chryslers over the years, and currently have a Buick.
I figured half of the people on the forum would have a Hummer sitting around as a second or third daily driver. I've driven an H2, and it's... an experience. I guess it could be fun at times, like when you have this obsession that your car and everything attached to it, like the chunky lego hood, just has to be bigger than everyone else's. Even the console shifter handle is almost too big to grasp.
Thanks to GM's new car events I've experienced them all including Hummer. I've owned at least one car from GM, Ford and Chrysler.
Hummer, International, Nash, Studebaker, Auburn, Packard, De Soto...

Still missing are some of the ones I would REALLY like to drive: Ruxton, Stutz, Mercer but most of all, Duesenberg.

Yea. I did remember the grand marquis after posting.
all with a quot;Hummerquot; caveat..
I've ridden / driven a GM H2....but
NEVER been in, or driven an AM-Gen H1
Only been in chrysler, ford, and chevy.
Saturn and Hummer; unless you count the military HMMWV.
I shall forever remain a Hummer virgin...there's just something about them that screams quot;excessivequot;...and yet I know one really, really nice guy that drives a bright yellow one...it just doesn't fit his personality.
Actually I have driven a Hummer but marked no. I drove a H2 on a short, slow, dirt course at a test drive event. It was sort of fun but numb, like driving farming equipment with nice seats and interior. Forgettable actually.
Never experienced:
Buick
Cadillac
Chevrolet
Dodge
Hummer
Lincoln
Mercury
Pontiac
Saturn
So i've only been in a Chrysler Stratus, a few Jeeps and (euro)Fords.. oh and the epic AM General M151A2!
You forgot Oldsmobile.
I think the only one on the list for me would be Hummer. |
